Discover: The Smarter Way to Manage Your Amazon Catalog

What is Discover?

Managing an Amazon catalog can be overwhelming — especially when products come in multiple variations, with parent–child relationships that aren’t always obvious. Amazon Sellers and vendors often find themselves juggling spreadsheets, cross-checking ASINs, or digging through Seller Central just to understand how their catalog is structured.

That’s why we built Discover.

Discover is a lightweight feature inside AutoMato AI that lets you bring products into the app, see how they’re connected, and explore their attributes — all without using up your paid ASIN generation quota. It’s the simplest way to get a clear view of your catalog before deciding which products to optimize.

How Discover Works

There are two simple ways to start using Discover:

  • Authorize Seller Central or Vendor Central: Connect your account, and AutoMato will automatically import your full catalog — every product, variation, and attribute included.

  • Add ASINs directly: Enter any Amazon ASINs, and Discover instantly pulls those products into AutoMato for you to review.

Whether you just want to test with a few ASINs or bring in your entire catalog, Discover adapts to your workflow. This flexibility makes it especially useful for both small sellers testing a handful of products and larger vendors managing hundreds of listings.

What You’ll See

Once your products are in Discover, they appear in a clean, table-based view. For each ASIN, you’ll see:

  • Parent–child relationships (how variations are grouped).

  • Variation details such as size, color, or style.

  • Core attributes like images, titles and SKUs

This structured view gives you an at-a-glance understanding of how your listings are set up on Amazon. For example, if you sell a T-shirt in six colors and four sizes, Discover shows you exactly how those child ASINs connect back to the parent — helping you spot gaps, or inconsistent titles before moving into content optimization.

What Discover Does (and Doesn’t Do)

What it does:

  • Shows your catalog with all variations and attributes, displayed in groups.

  • Acts as a bridge between pre- and post-generation — you can decide which product variations to generate and how you want to generate them.

  • Replaces the old manual bulk import process where users had to fill columns in spreadsheets, define parent–child relationships, and input attributes by hand. With Discover, everything is automated — saving you hours of work.

  • Provides a clear foundation for starting content generation later.

  • Keeps “Discovered” products visually distinct from products you’ve already generated content for.

What it doesn’t do:

  • Discover does not generate content automatically.

  • It does not reduce or impact your paid ASIN generation quota.

This balance makes Discover a safe, lightweight way to explore your catalog — freeing you from spreadsheets and manual input, while keeping control of when and how content generation starts, and letting you safely explore your products without worrying about wasting credits or resources.

Why Use Discover?

Sellers, vendors, and agencies use Discover for a few key reasons:

  • Save time: Instead of downloading bulky spreadsheets from Seller Central, you can view everything directly in AutoMato.

  • Get clarity: Parent–child relationships are often tricky to manage in Amazon’s native tools. Discover lays them out clearly.

  • Protect resources: Because it doesn’t affect your generation quota, you can explore freely without burning through credits.

  • Plan smarter: Decide which ASINs are worth generating content for and which can wait.

  • Prepare for growth: As your catalog scales, Discover ensures you always have a clear starting point.

Think of Discover as your “catalog map.” Before you spend time and effort optimizing content, it shows you the lay of the land — so you can make smarter decisions about where to invest.

A Real-World Example

Imagine you’re a seller or vendor selling a line of kitchen blenders on Amazon. You have three parent ASINs — one for each blender model — and dozens of child variations for different colors, bundles, and accessory packs.

In Seller Central, making sense of which ASINs belong can mean toggling through multiple tabs and reports. In Discover, you simply import your catalog. Within seconds, you see each parent ASIN neatly connected to its children, with all the attributes displayed in groups in one view.

From there, you might notice that a parent is missing some variations or another has a title that’s inconsistent with the rest. With this insight, you can decide which ASINs should move forward into content generation — and which need fixes first.

After Discover: Next Steps

Once you’ve explored your catalog in Discover, you’re ready to take action:

  • Select ASINs to generate optimized content directly in AutoMato.

  • Manage generated content and variations in the Parent tab view.

  • Keep Discovered products visible for future action, while clearly separating them from generated ones.

Discovered and Generated products are visually distinguishable in the app, so you’ll always know which are ready with optimized content and which are just imported for review.
